About Us

Lighthouse Savings and Credit Cooperative Society Limited (Lighthouse SACCO) is a fast-growing, member-owned financial institution in Malawi, officially registered on May 18, 2022 (registration number 1758). Originallychampioned by the Lighthouse Trust Staff Social Welfare Committee, the SACCO began operations in January 2021 to improve members’ economic well-being through a strong culture of savings.

Lighthouse SACCO aims to continue growing its membership and asset base, aiming to serve members across various sectors in Malawi through affordable financial services.

Mathias Kaselema serves as the President of Lighthouse SACCO (based in Lilongwe, Malawi), which has experienced significant growth in assets and membership as of early 2025.
